49: Money Momentum and Strategy with Haneen Ahmad

Money Momentum and Strategy

Getting started on a money journey can be tricky. But maintaining a strategy with your money? Now, that takes planning. Haneen Ahmad, a Washington therapist, joined me on the podcast to share how she's built a rhythm with her finances by checking in with what works for her. For her, it means having a strategy for the bookkeeping side (she loves Profit First) AND having a strategy for the mindset and momentum side (she’s a member of the Co-Muse-ity, an online money community for womxn, founded by past Millionaire Monday feature, Stephanie Xenos!).

By working with both sides of her relationship with money, she's created a system that works for her and also feels fun.

Episode Takeaways

  1. Learn from past money mistakes. How can you acknowledge past mistakes, forgive yourself, and learn from them?

  2. Spend on what energizes you. Think about where your discretionary spending is going and see if it’s in alignment with your values.

  3. Find a money strategy that works for you so you can build money momentum. Haneen shares that she had to balance two things that are important to her: finding a tactical strategy AND finding a supportive community. How can you find a strategy that works for you, so you can stick with it and build money momentum?
