It’s time to address the elephant in the room:  More money doesn’t automatically relieve stress.

This isn’t anecdotal. Financial stress impacts everyone, including high-earning professionals and top-level executives. Contrary to what many people believe, 92% of employees and 76% of C-suite and HR leaders experience financial stress. This stress is associated with lost sleep, racing thoughts, and feeling disconnected from loved ones and hobbies.

This stress also negatively impacts people’s engagement and productivity at work, averaging over one work day a week due to financial stress. Or? Nearly $200 billion in lost productivity annually.

What if you could help your employee's financial and emotional well-being and improve your bottom line?

I offer a fresh take on this frequently misunderstood problem by sharing the latest research about financial wellness and anxiety. It’s not about the spreadsheet or the budget or even making more money. Instead, what’s most important is reimagining our relationship with money so we can use it intentionally It’s about understanding how we think and feel about money shapes how we use it.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to our relationship with money.  For you a healthy relationship with money may mean safely spending money on a vacation without worrying about the credit card bill when you come home, spoiling the heck out of your pup, or sending money to support your family back home with confidence.

When we address the emotional side of money, we see a positive ripple effect beyond finances

Reduced financial stress levels lead to better sleep, clearer thinking, and decreased feelings of anxiety. And? Addressing money mindset positively impacts workplace culture, reduces employee absenteeism, and enhances employee satisfaction and retention.

As one of only a handful of certified financial therapists in the U.S., I’m uniquely positioned to support you on this journey.

Attendees describe my programs as refreshing and transformative: “I’ve never been in a space where we can openly talk about money like this.”  The theme I hear most often is best reflected by an attendee who said, “I feel confident, empowered, and excited to take control of [my] financial future.”

In my therapy practice and speeches, physicians, techies, consultants, and even, yes, financial planners ask:

"Do I have enough to spend like this?"

"Am I doing it right?"

"When will I finally feel safe?"

As a certified financial therapist and founder of a financial wellness business, I consistently see a pattern:

Regardless of income, people worry about money.

In the world of personal finance, there's a strong emphasis on rules to follow and deadlines to meet. These outdated defaults aren’t tailored to people's unique lives and values.

My approach breaks free of this cookie-cutter mentality. I provide a platform for exploring the narratives we construct around money and the emotions they evoke. By examining and reframing these narratives, we can revolutionize our perspective on money and cultivate a richer, more nuanced relationship with it.

Once we move from earning enough money to survive, it’s time to discover how to thrive financially.

In addition to my work as a financial wellness speaker, I host the Mind Money Balance podcast and YouTube channel, wrote the book The Financial Anxiety Solution, and am frequently asked by media outlets like CNN, CNBC, Vox, NPR, and more for my empathy-first take on all things personal finance and mental health.

What people say

“Lindsay's approach to having a dialogue about money — a real, honest-to-goodness, don't-hold-back, no-guilt discussion about money and income — was a refreshing and inspiring approach to a topic many folks don't even like to think about, much less talk about.”

— WHITNEY BROOKS, Workshop Attendee

“Lindsay grounded her material in easy-to-understand analogies, empirical evidence, and her own personal experiences. Our community members left the presentation feeling confident, empowered and excited to take control of their financial future. Many stated that they had plans to not only raise their fees, but also, start a dialogue within their own respective clinical communities around money.”

— ANDREW REISEN,
Founder & CEO of Heard

"Lindsay's presentation was powerful and effective. She kept the entire audience engaged for the whole session. Any organization or group that is teaching financial literacy or financial empowerment courses should hire Lindsay as a part of their series."

— TRACEY HOESCH, Former Director of Circles Washtenaw County
