Mind Money Balance Podcast Trailer

This is the Mind Money Balance Podcast.  I've created this podcast for high-earning couples. The Mind Money Balance podcast is all about making money feel good in your relationship.  The no guilt, no shame podcast so you can stand in your power as a couple.

  • [00:00:00] Welcome to Mind Money Balance. I'm your host, Lindsay Bryant Poppin. I'm a woman of color, dog mom, and one of the first financial therapists in the country. I've created this podcast for high-earning couples. The Mind Money Balance Podcast is all about making money feel good in your relationship, the no guilt, no shame podcast, so you can stand in your power as a couple.

[00:00:28] I spent years as a traditionally trained therapist hearing money stuff come up and being frustrated that I didn't have a way to help my clients address it, so I did something about it. I got certified in financial, social work and financial therapy so I can help couples with their money stressors by combining financial literacy with rock solid marriage science.

[00:00:49] Trust me, I've heard all the excuses in the book about why couples haven't addressed money in their relationship. It'll be boring. Talking about money will be stressful. We don't have time, money is important to us, et cetera. Here's the deal. Disagreements about money are the second leading cause of divorce in the United States, and I believe it's preventable.

[00:01:11] So what's in it for you? Here's what you can expect. I'm going to release weekly podcast episodes in seasons In season one, I'm going to be doing solo episodes, talking all about how to get your mind and money imbalance when it comes to your relationship. My belief about money is that it's mostly about our thoughts, feelings, and emotions, and way less about the day-to-day bookkeeping side of money.

[00:01:37] We develop beliefs about money as children. And we have to talk about it so you can stop letting the six year old version of you drive financial decisions in your life. Today we'll talk about ways to bring money into the fold as a strong pillar in your relationship. I'll also let you in behind the scenes by bringing on real couples and airing their power sessions.

[00:01:58] They'll ask their questions about money, mindset, struggles they're facing as a couple, and I'll give them on the spot coaching that you can learn from and apply to your relationship. So here's where I need your help. I ask you to subscribe to this podcast so you never miss an episode and take a stand by saying, hell yes, money is important to me in my relationship.

[00:02:22] I ask you to rate and review this podcast so I know what's working, what you love, and it will help inspire others to start talking about money and their relationship. I ask you to join my private Instagram community at Mind Money Community, where we go deep on money tips, mindset strategies, what's working and what's not in our relationships.

[00:02:44] I go live weekly on Thursdays, answering community members' questions. I can't wait to see you there. Welcome again to the Mind Money Balance podcast.

[00:02:57] If you love this episode, take a screenshot and tag me on Instagram @MindMoneyBalance with your favorite takeaway. I love seeing what resonates with my listeners and sharing it in my stories. Thanks so much for tuning in. I'll see you next week. Right here.
